Welcome from Tuesday!
I’m a trainer of Pilates method. I completed the Open Mind Pilates I course, the Classical Pilates training at Karolina Libelt Pilates studio and trainer’s practice at Personal Pilates Studio with Ania Podsiedlik-Ciebiera.
I’m fascinated by yoga. I started from Iyengar method. Then I discovered Ashtanga, took part in Manju Jois’, Kino MacGregor’s and others’ workshops. I completed the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher training led by Basia Lipska Larsen.
Yoga and pilates perfectly match each other, they complement each other fine.
Since I was a child, I connected my life to dance. Dance was everything for me until I experienced that yoga can give me a lot more. Not only happiness, but also health, both physical and mental. Since then, Ashtanga became my passion and addiction. It gave me self awareness of my own body and I discovered tangibly that breath is the best fun.
To be able to do what I love and to share it with others, in 2012 I completed the Ashtanga Yoga Vinyasa TTC 500 teacher trainig led by Basia Lipska Larsen according to the KPJAYI method. I also attended teacher trainings with Kino MacGregor, David Keil and other teachers. I spent 2 months in Mysore, India, where I received education directly from Sharath Jois at KPJAYI. Since 2009 I practice regurarly, on a daily basis, because I can’t bear parting from yoga. Yoga is an adventure for me every day, it reveals me new secrets. Thanks to it I know, that through breathing and concentrating I can do everything, and all the obstacles are only in my head. Overcoming them on my mat helps me to overcome them also in daily life.
Moreover I’m a sociologist and a psychologist interested in Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, healthy nutrition, meditation and all that is important and necessary.
Yoga led me to pilates method, dance and fitness led me to yoga. Yoga gave me a lesson of extending beyond fitness, it opened the abilities of my body and emotions, which I had not explored before.
All the forms of movement became for me a way to consious using of my own body, to life discipline and, as a result, to better quality of life.
I met yoga for the first time 9 years ago. My first teacher was Sarah Hallett from Great Britain. Under her guidance, after several years of practicing, I became her assistant during teaching groups at yoga classes. I am extremely grateful to her for her help, many valuable comments, passion in the transmission of knowledge to her disciples. My willingness to explore yoga led me to meeting charismatic Basia Lipska and to completion the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in 2009.
As an educator, I felt the need of introducing elements of yoga into working with children. This need led me to another great teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Yoga for children, Gurudass Kaur, with whom I graduated from the Childplay Yoga teacher training course in 2010. A complementation of this knowledge was trainings and yoga workshops for children with Joanna Jakubik-Hajdukiewicz. The next step in my exploration was the Pilates Mat Work I, II, III and Senior Pilates teacher training at Body Balanced Pilates School.
I like to have a good relationship with my body, the rest is a constant exploration… My desire is to constantly improve my skills and teaching in such way as to infect others with my passion.
The first passion in my life was art. I established it by graduating from Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. I met the taste of exhibitions and of working in a gallery. Yoga has become my next passion. I’ve been practicing it since 2007. Daily practice, observation of its advantages and “several coincidences” caused me to become a teacher. In 2010 I received “Instructor of Physical Recreation based on Hatha Yoga system” diploma.
I gained a lot of skills in working with body and mind at workshops led by experienced teachers. In my practice I join various yoga styles. Yoga is an art, so it allows creation.
As first I met the B. K. S. Iyengar method (Adama Bielewicz’s Joga! Centrum and Joga na Foksal). For two years I have been practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (Przemek Nadolny taught me). In the Iyengar method I value precise body adjustment in the pose. In Ashtanga I found lightness, energy and working with the breath.
I don’t feel the need of putting so much poetry here. My experience is 11 years of Aṣṭāṅga Viṅyāsa Yoga practice on daily basis and 6 years of teaching the viṅyāsa method. I can guide classes in English for you 🙂
